Simple Solution for Green Energy Storage and CO2 Reduction

Storing green energy provides a solution for weather-dependent solar and wind power plants, which evidently cannot plan their production schedules. With appropriately structured energy storage, power plants never need to be regulated down, as the operators can store the energy generated from periodic overproduction in formic acid. Formic acid stores hydrogen and energy in chemical bonds, both of which can be easily released at the point of use. Formic acid is a weak acid that is easily and massively storable and transportable. The energy storage units we have developed can be flexibly scaled to match circumstances, from small to large-scale implementations. They can be built alongside high-capacity solar parks or wind turbines, storing excess green electricity in hydrogen form bound within formic acid.

The factory consists of two parts, which can be purchased together or separately.

The plant consists of two parts, which can be purchased together or separately. The units can be scaled from 1m³ to 10m³, individually or modularly built on-site. Each location has unique needs and parameters that must be individually examined during implementation to meet specific requirements.

1.The formic acid production unit, if only formic acid is needed.

Formic Acid Production Unit

The formic acid decomposition unit, also housed in two 40-foot containers, can release the energy stored in formic acid and deliver it in the required form. The unit's input is formic acid, which, using a special fuel cell, is also suitable for autonomous electricity generation. The unit can be placed independently or ordered with the formic acid production unit. The production unit operates fully automatically without requiring constant supervision. Each element of production is sensor-equipped, halting the system in case of malfunction. Regular replenishment of necessary elements can be performed by the staff. If maintenance personnel are unavailable, our company undertakes the unit's operation.

Formic acid decomposition unit

The unit is housed in two 40-foot containers. The formic acid decomposition unit is capable of releasing the energy stored in the formic acid and releasing it in the required form. The input of the system is the formic acid itself, with the help of the special fuel cell, it can generate electricity regardless of everything. The unit can be placed independently, but it can also be ordered together with the formic acid production unit.
